You will work together with the Product Management team to write requirements specifications and database implementation design documents. You will participate in the database design using Oracle, MS SQL and others in the future. You will participate in reviewing the products database designs, identifying issues and bottlenecks, performing database tuning and querying optimization to achieve required performance targets. You will participate in defining new product database architecture to address functionality, performance, scalability, ease of use and ease of deployment. You will participate in the documentation of the database model and the internal products architecture and design. You will help in writing scripts to validate database designs and product upgrades. You will participate in database system analysis and will provide estimates for technical deliverables. You will assist with creating scripts for product packaging, releasing and deployment. You will assist with debugging database related customer issues and finding solutions. >You will participate in the design, the development and the maintenance of our AML applications. Experience in DB backup, recovery, replication and archiving. Excellent SQL skills, proven experience with development of PL/SQL in Oracle and Transact-SQL in MS SQL. Experience in DB performance tuning and query optimization. Experience in designing interfaces with external data sources. Experience with Unix (AIX and/or Solaris) and Windows Operating Systems. Experience with database modeling tools. Experience with Crystal Reports, Jasper Reports is a plus. Experience with SWIFT and/or AML is a plus. Excellent communication skills. Very good written and spoken English. Willingness to travel occasionally. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Position: full time and permanent. Location: Waterloo.
